This necklace is hand carved from a tagua nut, a seed from a type of palm that grows in the South American rainforests. Often known as vegetable ivory, tagua is an environmentally friendly and sustainable alternative to animal ivory. Handmade in Ecuador by the highly skilled artisans from the MYA workshop in Quito.
The hand carved and dyed tagua components are combined with silver plated snake chain sourced in the UK, the final pieces are assembled in Peckham.
Dimensions: Approx length 54cm (adjustable).
